"Sienna Afternoon I" is a multi-media piece. In this piece, I used acrylic paint and crackle paste. Crackle paste is a medium which is put on a wood surface with a large palette knife, and let dry for several days. It creates a cracked earth effect, and then used a blue, burnt sienna, yellow to create a warm afternoon. There are four Sienna Afternoon paintings: I (this one), II, III and IV.
"Sienna Afternoon III" is part of the 35th Anniversay of Archway Gallery in Houston, TX on Dunlavy. The Opening Reception is October 1, 2011 from 5-8pm It will hang until Nov. 1st.
